Nelson Conceição Hailing from Bordeira, a parish of Santa Barbara de Nexe that saw the birth and growth of great accordionists from the Algarve, Nelson Conceição is a multifaceted personality in the ‘world’ of the Portuguese accordion. Interpreter and composer, he is also a teacher and his students have won numerous national and international awards. His virtuosity allied to an enormous capacity to bridge traditionalism and the mixture of various contemporary musical genres, makes him one of the most prominent musicians in our country playing the accordion.
